This video says you use an A4 (8.27 x 11.69) sheet of copy paper to make an "envelope". Actually what forms is a small folder with pockets on all four faces inside and out. I thought it would be cute to use a sheet of wrapping paper to match your gift to make the "envelope" then tuck a name card in the front pocket and notes or small gifts in the other pockets.

Video Link - How to Create a Gift Jar
I figured it is almost Christmas so I had better find some quicky projects for last minute gifts. I absolutely love this site. So many awesome 5 minute videos on how to do everything. This one gives the directions for a basic gift in a jar and Italian Bean Soup:

Vintage Chicken Potholder

I absolutely love this chicken. My grandmother had a potholder just like her and I loved to play with it. She frequently kept the chicken resting on top of her ceramic teapot so she was a fun addition to our "tea parties".
While you are looking don't forget to look around tipnut.com. They have lots of other sewing and craft goodies and tons of info that could keep you plundering for weeks. It is one of those sites I love to dig through for hours at a time. Don't forget to sign up for their newsletter to keep up with the newest goodies.

Make Wiping Squares to Save on TP

LOL I can't decide. I am such a penny pincher and also have always been a bit green so I am intrigued. There is a part of me that is thinking about digging out some flannel. The only thing slowing me down is the fact that the only flannel I have right now is red hat ladies and Christmas print.
At the same time there is an ewww factor that I am having trouble getting past. I remember almost 40 years ago being broke and having to use AND CLEAN cloth diapers. I am broke right now but have enough TP to get me through to fall so I guess I will table this and come back.
I have discovered that people are buying baby wipes similar to this plus some for adults called family wipes. I saw a lot on Etsy for sale but they were in sizes 5x7 and 8x8 and two layers thick. I like the one in the link. It is 3x3 which seems a more maneageble size without ending up with it hitting the toilet water. I did see some on Etsy that had flannel on one side and terrycloth/wascloth on the other. I would like for 2 layers but for flannel only I think 3 layers is more appropriate. Anyway I have tons of washclothes and flannel so this may end up in my Village Craftsmith eStore before fall. http://villagecraftsmith.ecrater.com/
One friend is always saying I live Amish and even out Amish the Amish but is this too far LOL?
