Do people wear aprons anymore? I do sometimes but I only have one left right now.
Aprons bring back so many memories of my grandmother. After church on Sunday she would drop her purse and Bible on the buffet in the dining room and head straight to the kitchen. There she would slip into a bright blue floral apron with dark pink bias trim. It was made like a hospital gown without sleeves.
She always let me tie the bows in the back and then let me raid the pockets which always held a beautiful floral hanky, some Juicy Fruit gum and wrapped pieces of peppermint and other hard candies.
I have been wanting to make some new aprons for myself and found this project. I prefer the tunic aprons but I thought these would make wonderful gifts.
While at the ThriftyFun site you might consider signing up for their newsletter. They send daily emails on ways to save money around the house plus weekly bulletins on crafts and gardening. It is a wonderful site full of great information and projects.
